CREDITS

Original AFX, and Master textrues: Christian A. Kanakis.

"Dear Christian: Since FS98, I have tried all of the available 747s (freeware/payware) and
your models are the best, in my opinion, judging the plane overall, compared to other models.
I want to express you my gratitude for being so kind for releasing the AFX of your models.

I hope that many other painters use your 747s because I would love to make them all, but that is
not quite possible, due to time constraints and my other occupations."

Special thanks for Emmanuel Urquieta (Mexico City) for kindly adding the moving parts to
this particular plane, as well as my other airplane releases (current and future).

Flight Dynamics: ?, probably C. Kanakis.

Installation

You only need to drag the file to the FS98 or FS2000 Aircraft folder and unzip it in there and
it will extract to its end folder.

Depending on the unziping program that you use, you can browse till you find the Main FS folder
(either 98 or 2000) and extract the file there and by itself it will create its own folder and
subfolders.

You will find the aircraft inside the Aircraft Menu as:

TAAG Angola B747-312SCD D2-TEA "Ciudade do Kuito"

NOTE: Most parts of the textures that form this model are either Photoreal (specially the tail
textures a/o the titles) or smoothed textures, making them to be only visible for those with
a 3D accelerator.

A 2D version of this models might not be available in the upcoming days and I might only proceed
to do them if a significant amount of simmers expressely ask for them.

Further notice: I noticed that some of my planes, due to the painting technique involved to
texturize them do not show their original intended colors, within the proximities of Hong Kong,
due to the special color palet that the Hong Kong scenery has. this only happens in FS98.
FS2000 does not has this problem.

"The above mentioned does not happens with any of the Northwest planes, that I painted."

Comments:

Most of you might associate my name with Dynamic Sceneries, as I have designed several of
them, but now I have made a little pause to release some planes that are not yet available,
from any other designer a/o painter. Several other painters have released quite a lot of BA
planes using one or another AFX, but this whole release started when I was wanting to homologize
the 747s for my dynamic sceneries.

In my search, I found Christian Kanakis' 747s, and found them to be almost perfect and to be the
most visually planes for this purpose, but soon I found that Christian's 747s could not be converted
into dynamic objects, due to their complexity, that exceeded the limits of Dynkit (the program
that is used to convert a convetional model <*.MDL> into an scenery object <*.BGL>, so I did a lil'
rework to the AFX in order to reduce their complexity and be able to make them become part of ny
dynamic sceneries.

Initially the project was to paint just some few BA 747s and only for the purpose of the dynamic
sceneries, but I soon changed my mind and decided to release them, as stand alone planes.

I never thought that it would take me about four months to paint all the 747s that are part of
the complete release.

For that reason you'll soon be able to enjoy this planes in my future dynamic sceneries for FS98
and FS2000.

This plane should work with FS2000, but it seems that my 400mhz PC is vey slow for FS2000 so I
still prefer to use FS98, where it was thoroughly tested and works fine.

I asked Emmanuel Urquieta to add the moving parts, and so he did, yet be advised that this
option dissapears the landing gear doors. If you preffer to live without the moving parts
you will have to delete or move to another folder the files with *.mpi and *.nmp endings.

The reference photographs, that I used to paint this plane come from:
http://www.airliners.net

Thanks to the original photographers for taking thier time to shoot and upload them. Their
silent contributions have and will keep on helping a lot of simmers.

Legal

This airplane is and must always remain as a FREEWARE release. It can be freely uploaded
and distributed as long as no charge is involved for its particular download or transference.

It can be freely converted into dynamic and static scenery aircraft, once again, as long as
it remains a freeware product.

NOTE: If you want to convert this plane into a dynamic/static object, let me know, to provide
you a less complex model, but with the same textures!

Enjoy this TAAG B747 series 300!
